Natural Earth's default ('de facto') Admin 0 view as shipped in ne_50m_admin_0_countries v5.1.2. Borders are drawn as Natural Earth draws them; showing a border or name is not an endorsement of any claim. No borders are redrawn, merged or hidden by this project. Where Natural Earth models a de-facto entity as its own polygon (Kosovo, Somaliland, Northern Cyprus, Palestine, Western Sahara, Taiwan) it stays one selectable unit under Natural Earth's name; claims are not adjudicated. A different world view requires a new datasetVersion and an ID migration map.
